Did you know that not all home insurance policies cover storm damage? Fences and sheds are usually excluded from insurance policies, according to the Association of British Insurers. Even if you are covered for storm damage, insurers may disagree on what constitutes a ‘storm’ and decline to pay out.
Is this really a problem? Well, there were 12 major storms during Winter 2013-14, which was the stormiest period of weather the UK has experienced for at least 20 years. Winter 2015-16 was the second wettest and there were nine ‘named’ storms from November onwards.
Colourfence Pricing
Although our material prices are fixed, the cost of installation can vary according to site conditions so fitting is not included in the pricing table below. As a general guide, fitting costs start from £35 per panel excluding consumables. However please be aware that minimum labour charges may apply in some areas and the cost of fitting can only be confirmed once we have undertaken a site survey. All prices quoted exclude VAT.
Our panels are 2.35m in width rather than the standard 1.8m and include posts so please do bear this in mind if undertaking price comparisons based on the table below alone.
The table details our standard fence heights but the system is component based, and can be cut to any height or width on site.
We check our prices regularly against national suppliers of quality timber fencing and believe Colourfence prices represent remarkable value when you consider there are no ongoing maintenance costs.
* Please note that planning consent is usually required for fence heights in excess of 2.0m
